Founded in 1997
Xtreme Underwater Lighting formally known as Advanced Marine Underwater
Lighting has become a world leader in the manufacturer of the highest quality underwater
lights for both recreational and commercial boating. Contrary to popular belief and many false claims in 1998 Advanced Marine Underwater Lighting was the first Underwater light company to use LED in underwater lights for yachts. Ironically in 2002 we were also the first to stop using LED in underwater lights. Advanced Marine Underwater Lighting realized in 2002 that the technology for LED underwater lights would not be ready for at least another 7 to 10 years, it was too expensive, unreliable and no where near bright enough and unfortunately as many of our competitors customers found out, we were right.
Prior to our design underwater lights had to be disassembled and serviced every six months, this included the removal and
resealing of the lens. We reinvented the underwater light making it virtually maintenance free and everyone has since followed.
Advanced Marine Underwater Lighting discontinued the LED line in 2002 and replaced it with the world famous
150 Watt Metal Halide Xtreme Beam and 70Watt Metal Halide SMX-2, due to there huge popularity and with 1000's of units sold we decided to change our name to Xtreme Underwater Lighting.
Moving forward to 2011 after 3 years of grueling extensive testing we are finally satisfied that LED is at a point where it does make sense and Xtreme Underwater Lighting is proud to introduce the all new, patent applied for Xtreme XLED Line of LED Underwater light fixtures,
with the option of 50, 100, or 200Watts of LED power at 8000Kelvin and a total of 17600Lumens the wait was worth it and once again the competition will follow!
The Xtreme Underwater Lighting product line is designed with the demands of the harsh marine environment in mind.
Our products are built in the USA using the finest materials available including 316L Stainless, Marine Grade Aluminum and Titanium.
We bring CNC-machined quality to you at assembly line prices.
